1. John Legend: $2,500 Cheese Wheel

Last year, singer and songwriter John Legend surprised wife Chrissy Teigen with an early Christmas present — a gigantic wheel of cheese. Teigen shared a picture of her “lifetime dream” on Instagram, saying the whole thing makes her “emotional.” She didn’t reveal the price of the gift, but Huffington Post estimated the cost at about $2,500.

2. Beyoncé: $3,500 Crib

No celebrity baby nursery is complete without over-the-top, luxurious sleeping accommodations. People magazine reported Beyoncé purchased her daughter Blue Ivy a $3,500 Lucite crib from NurseryWorks. She isn’t the only celeb who owns this luxe item either; Robert Downey, Jr. and Tony Roma also own the same style.

3. Angelina Jolie: $18,500 Olive Tree

Angelina Jolie gave Brad Pitt a 200-year old olive tree for Valentine’s Day in 2010, US Weekly reported. Jolie spent $18,500 on the gift, which she planned to plant at the couple’s $60 million estate in the south of France. According to an insider, “It’s a very special tree and cost her a fortune.”

Lady Gaga purchased a $50,000 Electro-Magnetic Field Reader to detect any paranormal activity backstage at her concerts, according to EOnline. Glamour magazine also reported she’s so terrified of ghosts she hires ghost hunters and paranormal investigators to examine every hotel room and tour venue she stays and performs in.

5. Gwyneth Paltrow: $650 per Panel Wallpaper

In August 2011, Gwyneth Paltrow told Elle Décor that DeGournay hand-painted wallpaper is one item she can’t live without. “I indulged with one wall in my London living room covered in a gorgeous pattern,” she said. She didn’t reveal the cost of the splurge, but personal finance website Smarty Cents estimated the cost is about $650 per panel, or $12,000 per room.

Even though Madonna has a staggering net worth of $520 million, spending $10,000 a month on holy water still seems outrageous. In 2008, In Touch Weekly reported The Material Girl and her family of five would only drink specially blessed Kabbalah water, which ran about $5 a bottle.

Real estate mogul and presidential candidate Donald Trump isn’t shy about his luxurious lifestyle, including his $100 million private jet. The Donald bought his Boeing 747 jet from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, and then renovated the aircraft to include 24-carat gold seat belts, gold-plated faucets and Rolls Royce engines, according to Business Insider.

8. Paris Hilton: $325,000 Doghouse

Last year, Paris Hilton shared an Instagram image of her dogs lounging in their custom-made doghouse. The 300-square-foot doghouse cost $325,000, according to a 2009 Life & Style Weekly interview. The miniature mansion, worthy of its own spot on MTV Cribs, has central air conditioning, designer furniture, leather seating, a balcony and chandelier.

9. Kelly Rowland: $5,200 Baby Bathtub

Beyoncé’s BFF, Kelly Rowland, purchased a $5,200 baby bathtub in anticipation of Blue Ivy’s birth. Huffington Post reported the bathtub is studded with Swarovski crystals. Designer Lori Gardner spends more than two months applying each crystal by hand, according to ABC News.

10. George Lucas: $100 Million Ranch

George Lucas, the movie mogul behind the Star Wars saga, owns a 4,700-acre piece of California property affectionately named “Skywalker Ranch.” The purchase price was $100 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. Lucas hired his own personal fire brigade to protect the property, which includes a staff of full-time firefighters, fire trucks and volunteers, Business Insider reported.

11. Victoria Beckham: $33,000 iPhone

Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) spent $33,000 on a Stuart Hughes cellphone, made with 150 grams of 24-carat gold, according to US Weekly. Rumors circulated the luxury accessory was a “push present” from David Beckham after the birth of their daughter, Harper, but Victoria’s rep told the magazine, “She’s had the phone for ages. Nothing new.”

12. Brad Pitt: $960,000 Painting

In 2009, Brad Pitt spent nearly $1 million on a painting by German artist Neo Rauch. The actor saw the piece at the Art Basel art fair in Switzerland, which depicts “a swirling view of a driver behind a red, Formula One-style racecar, with workers nearby carrying candy-colored hoses,” reported The Wall Street Journal.

When Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were still an item, he bought her a limited edition Peter Beard art book for $1,900. In 2011, Jay Z spent $250,000 on liquor and Champagne at Miami’s LIV club in celebration of his joint album with Kanye West, according to BET.com. The Richest reported the rap star and fashion mogul purchased for wife Kim Kardashian a $70,000 “Panthere De Cartier Cuff” for Valentine’s Day. The bracelet is part of a rare collection made from onyx, emeralds, gold and diamonds.

She might be one of the world’s most famous friends, but it looks like she’s one of the best, too. When Courtney Cox found out her pal and former co-star Jennifer Aniston wanted to start bike riding for exercise, she went out and purchased her bestie a $12,000 bicycle, celebrity and style website PopSugar reported. The bike, made by design house Chanel, features eight speeds, weighs 36 pounds and comes with a quilted leather saddlebag and seat with the Chanel ‘CC’ logo.

Nicholas Cage is infamous for his rather bizarre taste in collectibles. Vanity Fair reported Oscar-winning actor Nicholas Cage won a Tyrannosaurus bataar skull at a 2007 auction. He actually outbid Leonardo DiCaprio, paying over $270,000 for the 67-million-year-old artifact, which was later believed to be stolen property.

27. Celine Dion: $2 Million Humidifier

Part of Celine Dion’s three-year, $100 million deal to perform exclusively at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas included the installation of a $2 million humidifier on stage. The misting sprayer hung above her head while she performed, to “preserve her singing voice in the harsh desert climate,” according to MSN.

Chris Brown bought his daughter three miniature luxury cars for her birthday, UK’s Daily Mail reported. Brown, an avid car enthusiast, ordered specific models that matched his own favorite sports cars: Ranger Rover and Lamborghini. Each car cost a reported $2,500 and comes with leather and suede interiors, custom rims and working headlights.

In 2011, talk show host Piers Morgan asked Kim Kardashian about the most extravagant thing she ever bought. The reality star admitted she had recently spent $115,000 on a wristwatch. In 2011, Life & Style Weekly featured an interview with Justin Bieber’s hairstylist, Vanessa Price. The stylist, who only makes house calls, said she usually cut the star’s swooping bangs every few weeks while he was on tour, charging a whopping $750 per visit.

Floyd Mayweather is known for being a bit of a sneakerhead. In 2015, the champion boxer shared a picture on social media featuring 80 pairs of Christian Louboutin sneakers, with the caption: “I’m having a hard time choosing which #ChristianLouboutin I want to wear. I could only fit 80 pairs of #redbottoms in this photo…” With each pair of designer sneakers running at least $1,000, the photo alone contained an estimated $100,000 worth of athletic footwear.

When you’re a huge movie star like Johnny Depp, privacy is hard to come by. Forbes reported the actor purchased a 45-acre island for $3.6 million in 2004. The island, named Lilly Rose Beach after Depp’s daughter, is located in the Bahamas and has six beaches. He told Vanity Fair, “I don’t think I’d ever seen a place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom.”

The mega-mansion boasts a moat filled with koi fish, walls with three different varieties of Texas limestone, as well as steel doors and window frames, US Weekly reported.

40. Kristen Stewart: $12,000 Vintage Guitars

When Kristen Stewart was still dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, US Weekly reported she surprised him with two vintage guitars for Christmas: a 1959 Fender Jazzmaster and a 1947 K&F Lap Steel. The two instruments were worth a total of $12,000, according to the publication.
