The late Prince had a fabulous lifestyle and a beautiful Spanish Villa, which is currently on the market, and just like the music legend himself, the home has plenty of character.
It’s said that Prince purchased the property in 1998 as a wedding present for his then-wife, dancer Mayte Garcia. He sold it in 2006, and the home’s new owners put it on the market in 2014. It’s remained unsold since then.
Situated just west of Marbella, Spain, in the hills of El Paraiso (“The Paradise”), the 7,534 square-foot salmon-colored villa includes six bedrooms and six bathrooms on 1.45 acres. The real estate listingnotes that no expense was spared when creating the pied á terre, and the opulence is evident in the features of the home.
A chandeliered entrance hall greets visitors along with a breath-taking colonial style double staircase. Pristine marble covers the floors. Two master suites sit on the first floor, and three large bedroom suites are upstairs. A guest apartment is also available.
Outside, the 2,583 square-foot terrace looks out onto the valley and Mediterranean Sea, and there’s a tennis court, heated pool and landscaped gardens with subtropical trees.
The property, which sits at an elevation, is accessed through a large private drive, and there’s room for three cars (a little red Corvette, perhaps?) in the garage.
The asking price for the home is $5.9 million, and according to a report by Bloomberg, it’s non-negotiable since the owner is in no rush to sell it. Of course the fact that it once belonged to the late singer (and is said to have been inspiration for many of his songs) makes the home even more valuable.
